Rachel is a Senior studying Marketing with a minor in Leadership and Business Strategy. This is her fourth year in AMA.

Merchandising Intern with Meijer this past summer. Worked on a project in the alcohol department focused on adding more localized products to the stores.

Fun Fact: "I love to travel! I have been to four different countries."

"My goal for the year is to recruit incoming students at WMU who are interested in careers within the marketing industry, along with guiding incoming students to reach their professional goals."

Aleksander Slotwinski is a senior double majoring in Sales & Business Marketing and Spanish. He joined AMA because he wanted to discover three things: to discover the exciting realm of marketing, to discover incredible networking and career opportunities, and to discover how to positively impact the lives of others within the organization and beyond.

Aleksander has recently been elected Director of Member Engagement for the Sales and Business Marketing Association, has completed the Real Whirled Sales Internship program at Whirlpool for summer 2022, and is a Lee Honors College student that has been on the Dean’s list each semester since starting college. He is a passionate volunteer for the American Cancer Society Discovery Shop in Kalamazoo, MI. Additionally, he has started the Accelerated Postgraduate Program in Spanish in fall 2022 where he plans to master his fluency in the Spanish language.

Transposing these academic and professional qualities of exploration, building invaluable relationships, and striving to achieve overall excellence into the leisurely realm, Aleksander is an expert thrifter and reseller of luxury fashion and designer accessories. Jenn is the Director of Social Outreach. She has been involved for one year.

Her goal for this semester is to give members of AMA the opportunity to better understand and appreciate their personal attributes, and from there to build professional relationships and a career using those strengths.

"Over the summer I interned for the National MS Society, as well as MRC Industries (a Kalamazoo-based organization), while also working with professors at Western Michigan University to better develop my professional skills."

Fun Fact: When I turned eighteen I backpacked Europe for a month!

Isabel is a senior majoring in Marketing, expecting to graduate in December 2022. She is currently serving as the Director of Finance and has been involved with AMA for 1.5 years

Isabel's goal for AMA this year is to increase our membership!

"This past summer I had the opportunity to work for Atlas Copco as a digital marketing intern with a focus in search engine optimization. I also was able to be a part of their global internship program, where I got work on a marketing benchmark project with interns from across the globe."

A fun fact about Isabel is that she got to travel to the Atlas Copco headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden for her internship.

Karen is a fourth year studying Advertising & Promotion and Sociology. Even though this is only Karen's second semester in AMA, she's so excited to see what this year will bring.

On top of being a communications committee member, she is currently a strategy intern at Doner, a member of AdClub, and a drill instructor for the Bronco Marching Band where she plays alto saxophone.

Her fun fact is that she is a frequent patron of the library where she can be found in the non-fiction section.

"My goal for this year is to revamp this very website you are on in terms of design and SEO concurrently with an SEO class I am taking."

Elvira is a Communications Committee Member. She is currently a junior studying Marketing. She joined AMA last fall.

Her goal for the year is to create awareness of AMA and all of the great opportunities it offers, as well as help members develop skills that will aid them in their professional development.

"For the past year I have been a Social

Media ambassador for WMU. I help create content to generate awareness of our university & increase engagement with students. I am also a recipient of the Business Achievement Award."

Fun Fact: I have been to 30/50 states.

Sarah is serving as an Executive Committee Member. She is currently a sophomore studying Marketing. She first became involved with AMA in fall of 2021.

"My Goal for AMA this year is to persuade others to engage in marketing observations and activities. Also, I hope it would increase their knowledge to know more about marketing."

Edward is currently serving as an Executive Committee Member. He is currently a senior studying Marketing, and he has been involved with AMA for a year and a half.

AMA Goal: Continue to bring more students who are interested in the marketing industry. Also help tell students about AMA and tell them how it can help them pick which marketing career they want to go into.

"This past summer I was an intern Chicago Marketing Inc. Some of the RSO’s I’m a part of are Young Black Male Support Network, where I serve as an Academic success chair, and Phi Chi Theta National Co-Ed Business Fraternity."

"A fun fact about myself is that I like to play basketball, drums, and travel."

Lionel Hilton is serving as an Executive Committee Member. He is currently a sophomore studying Marketing.

His AMA goal is to obtain experience and build leadership skills in a professional student organization oriented around business, as well as build relationships and connections with marketing leaders around the country.

"I have been an active member of WMU AMA for one year. I was elected to the leadership board this year. I have also participated in several volunteer activities on-campus and off-campus such as food packaging and organizing fundraisers for the homeless."

Fun fact: I was a cup-stacking professional in elementary school. I could build and dismantle a tower twice in under 9 seconds.
